Homework = Disgusting

Today I tried devoting my time to finishing the dumb homework I got over break. You see I'm really good at putting things off and procrastinating so I thought I'd get my homework done today so I could completely have the full joy of the rest of the break. I even gave myself a pep talk this morning and started the day off feeling good and happy. The best news: I got a good amount of homework completed and I'd say today was pretty successful :)

On A Day Like Today

Wow today was amazing!! Chris took me on a date and we went ice skating. It was my first time ever and I discovered just how much balance and coordination it really does require. I have a newfound appreciation for competing ice skaters. After a couple of hours of skating we picked up some bagels and pizza and played Curses which is very fun and went on for hours longer :) Then we watched Emperor's New Groove just because.

I felt so good today just being with friends who love me the way I am and being able to step out of my comfort zone a little and try something new.

To close my thoughts for today, I would like to just say how grateful I am for and thank you to all my friends who have loved me for myself.

This Is How My Weekend Went

Well, it started with a not so great week last week. I was kinda depressed and all but then that changed on Thursday. Thursday was my birthday and after school I received two visits from amazing friends which totally brightened my day and cheered me up. First, Chris stopped by with a pumpkin pie and leg warmers (there's a story behind that one) and we talked for a while and it just made my day! Then Liz dropped by with a new book for me to read! We ended up talking and laughing for a good hour or longer which added to my already good day.

Then on Friday my parents checked me out of school early and took me out to lunch for my B-day! We went to Los Hermanos (yum!) and Tabitha was so cute smearing salsa everywhere! When we got home I cleaned up the house a little for the party I was having. My friends came over and taught me a new game you can play with Apples To Apples cards and we watched some movies. I also got an amazingly plush soft blanket that I absolutely love and will never part with EVER!!! I was so happy when some people were able to come after all even if they came at the end it didn't matter to me. :)

Saturday I went with my mom and Camille bead shopping!! We're going to try to get into jewelry making. It was so fun. Good bonding time with those two. We'll be doing some more with that on Christmas day.

On Sunday, Alyssa came to our home ward instead of singles ward and I convinced her to join me in sunday school and young women's. We had a good time disrupting class (although that was mostly my fault - I can talk too much sometimes). ;)
It was a good weekend and an excellent start to my Christmas break! I love the Christmas season and the good feelings :)

My New Blog!

Hi everyone (not sure who you are yet - I need to check my settings). I made a new blog and it's a real blog not like my psuedo-blog that is fake on my website. So I have no clue how often I'll be updating this or how consistent I'll be with it yet but don't judge okay? ;)
